High Velocity Cutoff

This is the HVCU15, just one of three cut-to-length machines models offered by HVIT. And when it comes to value in cutoff equipment, there simply is no match for it. Consider the versatility of this one machine; for example, with it, you can cut:

  • from bar and/or coil,
  • both round and profile,
  • material ranging in diameter from .125 to .600 inch,
  • lengths as short as 1 to 1 ratio (length to diameter)
  • production rates as high as 400 PPM from coil
  • billets with length tolerances as low as  +/- 0.001 inch
  • copper, aluminum, most carbon steels such as high speed tool and bearing steels.

Often referred to as adiabatic cutoff or adiabatic parting, the quality for this type of cutoff is well known throughout industry. Because the separation of the material occurs so quickly, the end cuts are:

  • burr free,
  • no work hardening
  • perpendicularity can be managed simply by putting an angle in the face of one die.

And it is the most environmentally responsible form of cutoff available today:

  • using no cutting fluids,
  • creating no chips or kerf,
  • reducing scrap, and
  • creating no fumes..

At HVIT we are committed to bringing value, quality, and product reliability to our customers. And from this perspective, it is easy to understand why HVCU or high velocity cutoff is a flagship in the products and services we offer.

Consider the challenges your company faces today such as environmental issues, increased

worldwide competition, and higher energy and material costs, and then consider how our HVCU equipment or CTL (cut to length) services will provide quick, cost-effective solutions to help you meet those challenges.

Whether you intend to purchase capital equipment for inhouse production of blanks and billets oryou prefer instead to contract

HVIT's CTL service, we will work with your Purchasing, Quality and Engineering departments to ensure your satisfaction.
