HVCU: Quality

Customers who use our HVCU cutoff equipment often cut blanks or billets from wire or bar to begin production of their prime products. As a result, their quality systems, e.g., Six Sigma, rely on our equipment to provide them with constant and predictable quality components.

Our customers have come to expect no less than:

• Burr-free blanks and billets
• Perpendicular end cuts
• Precise length and volume / mass tolerances
• No crack formations
• Work hardening minimized (less than .0015 inch)

Blanks and billets produced from cutoff equipment that cannot meet these standards often require second and third operations to clean up the poor cut quality which can result in higher production costs and higher scrap rates.
