HVC: Quality

The HVC process allows for uniform densities throughout the part, providing closer tolerances after sintering. For the same 1000 gram part, OAL (overall length) variations were StDev 0.025 mm and weight variations were StDev 0.8g.

Based on trial runs and customer run-offs on a 1000 gram, 25 mm high part, densities can be controlled to StDev 0.01 g/cm3.

Uniform density - remarkably even distribution of forces in the impact system ensures consistent density throughout the part. The chart to the right shows how variations in density from the top, middle and bottom portions are minimal.

Exceptional part accuracy - Punch velocity and the number of impacts can be precisely varied to control densification, allowing you to virtually 'dial in' densities.
